Story Ideas for Christian Film
I am in the preliminary stages of planning and have a 20-year film veteran who has expressed interest in working with me on producing a film (provided I pay her, of course) and who will play a key role in gathering a quality team. My own background is an MBA with marketing experience along with film classes, and work with a video company where I worked in project management, camera operating, and editing. I also have experience stage acting, and have appeared in ads that have aired on the radio and the Internet.
This will be a high quality film and as its backbone, it needs an excellent and well-written story that can be adapted to film.
I am searching for for a well-crafted story that can be adpated to create a film, or an existing or started screenplay/script. The story needs to meet certain criteria:
1. Be contemporary with the ability to film in Utah or nearby states, although the stated location in the story could be anywhere.
2. Be Christ-centered and teach at least one basic principle of the gospel, although religion never has to be directly mentioned.
3. Be a well-told and compelling story where music or special effects would simply be frosting on the top of a scrumptious, can’t-put-it-down cake.
4. Be a story pre-teens through adults can enjoy.
5. Be a story that would be really fun to film.
The following aren’t necessary, but are would-like-to-haves:
1. Have some element of adventure.
2. Some romance, although the story definitely doens’t need to be a romance.
3. Singing
Do you have a story that meets these criteria? Do you have additional criteria you think I should add to this list? Do you know of someone who might know of someone with such a story, or have you read a book lately that meets these criteria?

WE SEE IN A MIRROR DIMLY is Christian fiction with an edge. It has adventure, mystery, a little romance and thriller aspects. More significanlty, it is about a spiritual journey. Some have called it a “can’t put down” book. Because of the way it is written, I feel it could fairly easily be made into a movie.
We need more books and movies which give God the glory.

I have an idea in my head for a great story that may not fit what you are looking for in the sense of a happy and heartfelt christian movie. The names I have come up with this story/film are “REBIRTH” or “PIECES”. The basic story will cover what I like to call the three D’s, which are Divorce, Depression, and Darkness. I know this isn’t what you may be hoping for, but that is were the titles come in. A man who has lost everything in his life is a man in “pieces” and goes through the storms of life until he surrenders all too Christ, he then goes through a spiritual “rebirth” that only God can give. This story in my heart and head is based somewhat on my own life experiences and since I’m not a great writer would need to be worked on with a script writer over the phone or e-mail. I have gone to film school and have a great since of what the film looks like in my head. The music of the christian band “RED” are also a big part of the heart of this film. The last part of the movie, the main character is on his knees in front of a church and grave yard of his family and the song “pieces” is played by read. A song about a man coming to Christ in pieces and sin. That is when the rebirth starts and the pieces are put together. This is the idea of have and it is a dark story with light shinning down at the end. This is the idea that I have and I hope you consider it. I have published a book on the life of Willie Mack Williams Jr. The book is From Rebellion to Submission. Willie was totally rebellious and plunged into a life of drugs, alcohol and crime. He totally rejected education. He spent two terms in Parchman Penitentiary in Mississippi. Yet God had a plan for his life and today he is preacher and has a radio broadcast that reaches 40,000. I wrote a childrens book from a dream I had in 1990 called “Stinky Skates”. It’s about all the characters you would know at a roller rink with one character in particular who is now old but, as he is chosen as the pair of skates and rolls on the floor, he becomes younger with each lap.He also thinks of all the friends he used to see and talks to them.There is a lot more to this story and God is very much included and I’d very much like for you to look at it.The drawings are there too with my wifes help.I have some ideas to include insertings songs and using real actors in parts.I hope to hear from you soon, thank you, Tony Landess 580-461-8433 or 8432

Maybe you do understand what it takes to pull off a high budget film! I have been in the film/video production business for about 10 years. I have one degree and working on the other. I just finished a Big story/script about 300 pages. It must be filmed WELL!!! I would like to direct it myself, but need help founding it.
I call it ” SOULS” It covers the following: heavy action, thrills, chills, on your seat ride. A front roll seat on judgement day through the eyes of a man called Michael. He will also die for 20 mins and go to hell. The audience will see first hand what it will be like to be in hell for only a short time. But then be revived back to life. It also will take the audience through parts of the tribualtion. The death of the Anit- Christ and his over night healing. We will also experince the monstors from hell that come up and sting for 6 months. I thought about filming this in 3d, but it could be to much. I would like to keep the rating PG-13, but the hell scene will be very scarey and very gory. I must film it this way without a sugarcoating anything. I don’t what preachy or bible this and God that. By the way you can see my work on my website. I have the passion and drive to direct a film to this level. I just need a team of good Actors, Animators, Visual effects artist, Composting artist who have film with a green screen or blue screen. A producer who will give me the freedom I need to make this film. When I mean high budget I mean HIGH budget. if your looking to make some money back from this Oh you will!. But each shot must be prefect. I am a very picky Artist and will not take anything less. i am 31 years old and married. We need to stop making movies that goes right to a DVD in a video store. We need to think Bigger and then you will see the church rise and open doors for other movies that are sitting around waiting for very serious movie makers. We need to get going on this asap before christ returns.

Good morning! My name is Deborah Griffith Reece and I am a christian. I have written, through the divine inspiration of the Holy Spirit, exquisite music that needs to be, even has been prophesied to be, used in a movie. My cantata is called, “Jerusalem” and contains 7 songs….8, as the title song is reprised in a different arrangement and placed in the 8th position. As I have indicated already, my music is classical/ choral in genre and has been compared to Andrew Lloyd Webber by the professional musicians who recorded my demo for me. God blessed me with a gift for writing, creating music in lyric as well.I am looking to place my songs with the right project. My cantata is of the prophetic marking the “super sign” of the book of Revelation. God refers to my cantata as, “the voice of the bride”…..the church of the end days….the pure and spotless bride. The “spirits”,”mantles” behind the singing voices on this project are our Lord Jesus, the holy mother; Mary….the whore redeemed, Mary Magdalene…..and “the voice of the bride”,,,the church. This cantata bares a story already to be elaborated on. These songs are calling the chosen people home, to, “come back to me your city of light”. I have sent my demo to TBN/ Daystar ministries having received awesome reponses from some. I have had two priests take it to the Roman Vatican and a C.I.A. agent take it with him to Camp David! My songs are copy written but not published. I have the original manuscripts from having hired a pro to score my music. He, Tom Thompson, also asked me if he could perform my music.
