Love Poem
An Invitation:
Like a knight in shining armor
Upon a steed white, sure and strong,
I found a lovely maiden
Whose heart, like angels’ song,
Reached upward for the heavens
And with beauty the silence filled.

Then descending from the stallion,
Gathering roses in my hand,
I beseeched the maiden’s presence
For a walk upon the sand
And then waited for her answer
While songbirds softly trilled.
