Through the DFC Mentoring drug rehab, JTNN recruited other established community Drug Treatment Centers and approached five Spanish-speaking communities with an offer to help them build community Drug Treatment Centers. The combined communities cover an area of 17,362 square miles. A total of 424,112 persons of Hispanic descent reside in this target area, more than 100,000 are under age 18. The Project Director works with each of the Drug Treatment Centers to set up individualized strategies to engage the Hispanic community.
